Dunno if you've used Audiogalaxy or Gain Jacob, but my guess is that you've done something similar to me - ie deleted some .dll files by mistake that are crucial to When a second window opens either by design or pop up. It will lock up the system. I use Cntl-Alt-Del and it shows the first window not responding.

Browser windows lock up
SO, I re-installed IE 6 SP1 Here is how it happens for me. I open up a browser... I encounter a pop-up or new broswer window launches... IE Locks Up When After Loading
As if IE locks up. I can go back, but not forward to anything else. I don't think it's a connection issue because my ameritech DSL service is normally lightning fast and I NEVER get booted. Whenever I connect to Microsoft's homepage (www.microsoft.com) IE 3.02 causes my computer to completely lock up. The only way out is to reboot. No other sites do this that I have come across. However, I *am* able to connect to the Microsoft homepage perfectly fine with Netscape. Do you see the irony here? Help!

When I move to the bottom of a web page, IE locks up my PC. I was using IE4, and thought that installing IE5 would remedy the problem. But it hasn't. This happens using the scroll bars, or the page down key. The screen freezes and the only way out is to reboot. Does anyone have any suggestions?
